ReSister Theatre Company

ReSister was formed in 2004 by Hannah Khalil, Antony Law, Madeleine Lund, Ishbel Nicol, Lisa Ralph and Annette Roche. All members are professional actors, directors and writers.

MISSION STATEMENT

ReSister believes that it remains a state of chronic disproportion in British Theatre that the representation of women is limited in both numbers of roles and forms of representation. Plays which investigate the female condition exist but are rarely produced, therefore we set out to find, research and produce such plays and to create a theatre that is accessible to everyone, without prejudice, using cost, venue, content and marketing to achieve this.

- Raise awareness of the arts

- Open doors for women in the arts

- Highlight women’s issues

- Provide a theatrical experience for for people who have limited or no access to the arts

- Promote Theatre as an activity that is available to anyone who wishes to access it

- Promote Theatre as a forum to explore issues that are relevant to peoples lives
