Plan D by Hannah Khalil
Tristan Bates Theatre, London, 26 January - 13 February 2010
Meyor-whitworth nomination 2011 for New Writer Award - Hannah Khalil
ReSister co-founder Hannah Khalil’s powerful and far-reaching play was inspired by the testimonies of Palestinians who endured the 1948 war, which she transformed into a piece about what happens to real people in times of war.
The Tristan Bates’ production, directed by Chris white (link to www.chriswhitedirector.com), played to sold out houses for the duration of the run. Hannah has since been to Ghent in Belgium to speak about the play at the Eye On Palestine festival.

Review
As a Palestinian-Irish dramatist, Khalil writes with feeling about homelessness, migration and a culture in which masculinity is equated with ownership...Khalil writes with commendable compassion
